webfact Posted November 25, 2020 Share Posted November 25, 2020 Armed gold shop robber makes off with 250K in jewelry in Chonburi Picture: Pattaya Update News An armed robber stole 36 items of gold jewelry from the Golden 99 shop in a department store in Laem Chabang, Si Racha, Chonburi on Monday evening. Laem Chabang police were called at 6.30pm and found three staff members at the gold shop in a state of shock. The shop is 20 meters from the front entrance to the store on the first floor. A man came in brandishing a gun of unknown caliber then vaulted the counter before running off with 36 quarter baht items of gold jewelry. Picture: Pattaya Update News This would be worth approximately a quarter of a million baht, notes Thaivisa. CCTV showed a hooded and masked man wearing a heavy jacket, jeans and flip-flops with a black bag jumping the counter. Pattaya Update News reported that police believe the robber is still in the area.
