Hua Hin: Resort readies itself to receive tourists for International Jazz Festival

Jirawat Phramanee of the Hua Hin municipality along with police and representatives of Hubster Hua Hin, the organizers of the 16th Hua Hin International Jazz Festival, were inspecting arrangements yesterday.

 

They were talking to vendors on the road leading to the beach where the festival will take place reminding them to be good hosts.

The festival is taking place over two days Friday December 4th and Saturday 5th outside the Centara Grand Beach Resort. It promises two stages and 30 separate concerts.

Friday:

18:45 - Koh Saxman featuring Keithen Carter (vocals)

19:50 - Chai Blues feat. Nurse (vocals)

20:50 - Jazz All Stars feat. Steve Canon (trumpet) & Frank Herrgott (keyboards)

 

Saturday:

17:50 Mimi Quintette (Thailand based Japanese musicians) feat. Mimi (vocals)

19:30 Koh Saxman & the Takeshi Band

20:20 Julian Carey (vocals & instrumentalist) & Sunny (keyboards)

 

The alternative stage has always had vibrant energetic jazz - best visited when the Pop/R&B/Funk Disco bands are on the main stage. (at the end of Soi 61 before going down to the beach).
