PAV123
Anyone own both, or who has switched between these two alternative engines? I register that the 3.0 (175 HP) version is approx. 100,000 thb more expensive than a 1.9 (148 HP) version in the used market (2 year old cars). So is it worth paying 100,000 more for a 3.0 liter for normal driving, or does a 1.9 liter do just fine? What is your experience? Kwasaki
I find the 1.9 engine in the Isuzu smartcab fine just as quick as most. Goes 140 k quite quick and get to 170, not that do that all the time. Fuel economy is good, and Road Tax and CTPL & extra ins is very reasonable.
Kwasaki
I forgot to mention there's a Isuzu 1.9 bi-turbo available in the west which would leave the 3.0 ltr for dead. But Thailand people in charge being Thailand you won't see it here. Maybe the same with the new Ford 2.0 bi-turbo that leaves the 3.2 for dead. I thought that the Ford 2.0 Bi-Turbo has been for sale in Thailand for sometime.

I don't know be a good buy if it is. When I ask Isuzu Suk about the 1.9 bi-turbo they said there's no such thing. ????
