The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South bringing isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the South. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and water runoffs.

Waves in the Gulf are two metres high and above three metres during thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, the department said. Small boats should keep ashore until December 4.
