ubonjoe
You can apply for a new 60 day extension of stay (it is not a visa) a couple of weeks before the 30th. At this time January 29th is the last day you can apply for them.

That the next round could be the last and must be applied for before January 29th?

It is the latest info from a memorandum immigration did on November 24th extending it to January 29th from November 30th when it was due to expire. There might be another extension of it dependent upon the latest info about the pandemic.
