PHUKET: Phuket Provincial Police Commander Maj Gen Pornsak Nuannoo yesterday delivered a warning to drug networks on the island that police are coming for them. The warning came as he announced the arrest of four suspects in raids that netted 24,481 methamphetamine (ya bah) pills (ya bah), 4.243kg of crystal meth (ya ice) as well as two handguns and 54 rounds of ammunition.

Doctor addresses meeting as Prajuab Khiri Khan prepares to open to foreign tourists in January

Thai media Siam Rath said that in January 2021 Prajuab Khiri Khan (that includes Hua Hin) would be quarantining tourists in January 2021 according to government protocols.

All six Thai women who sneaked in from Myanmar test positive for Covid-19

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, jumping ahead of the United States and Europe to become the West's first country to formally endorse a jab it said should reach the most vulnerable people early next week.

TAIPEI (Reuters) - COVID-19 "passports" to show peoples' inoculation and infection history will be hard to do in practice but are a good idea, Taiwan Health Minister Chen Shih-chung said on Wednesday, offering support to a means to get global travel going again.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Joshua Wong, 24, one of Hong Kong's most prominent democracy activists, was jailed on Wednesday for 13-1/2 months for his role in an unlawful anti-government rally in 2019, the toughest and most high-profile sentencing of an opposition figure this year.

HANOI (Reuters) - Natural disasters in the past two months caused Vietnam 30 trillion dong ($1.3 billion) in economic damage and killed 192 people, with 57 still missing, authorities said on Wednesday, with its central provinces bearing most of the losses.
