The best ones in Khon Kaen will be at Srinagarind (KKU Univ Hospital). Neeranam Posted January 9, 2021 Author Share Posted January 9, 2021 I went to a fancy hospital the other day. I got a steroid injection which has helped. 1600 b which was OK as I never had to wait. However, the doctor was very unprofessional. He was only about 25 and said that it wasn't arthritis, as that happens in the lower body first, which I think is BS, but I'm not a doctor. Another thing that makes me not want to go back there, the guy wouldn't look me in the eye, it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I nearly told him so. I might still complain to the hospital. What you think is BS is BS. Mine started in the hands which by my definition is not lower body (if I was a monkey with knuckles dragging on the ground maybe correct). I would not worry about complaining, your experience is not unique, have yet to find a truly professional one. I had a terrible experience in Bamrungrad. where my daughter was born. This was years ago and my wife couldn't speak English, yet the doctor insisted on speaking English, it's an ego thing. Yeah, I've had minor knuckle pains in cold weather since my 40's. Put it down to driving a m/c in the snow and ice when I was young. Mostly went away when I moved to Thailand, but just bothers me a little now at age 65 on the coldest days. billd766 Posted January 9, 2021 Share Posted January 9, 2021 It is either arthritis or finger lock on the middle finger of my left hand which is started to give me pain in the last 3 weeks or so. I can clench my right hand easily but when I try the same with my left hand the middle finger just won't curl in properly. Both my kneecaps are S2S with arthritis so it may be that which is my problem. I might still complain to the hospital. i repeat my original advice to see Dr. Mason in Bangkok. Steroid injections can in some cases be harmful even if they temporarily relieve the pain. None at all as I'm deeply suspicious of steroids. 2 baby aspirin and some cannabis every evening sorts out the pain from my finger joints.
