SimonR123
Hello I am dual national Thai British born in England. I have a baby due with my Thai wife which will be born in Thailand. I am wondering which nationality for me (father) should be put on the birth certificate in order to make it easier for them to get a British passport in the future? Thanks

sirineou
I would put you British nationality on the Birth certificate, The baby would already have it's Thai credentials by virtue of the fact that it was born in Thailand and to a Thai mother, but I don't think think there is a down side to start establishing the baby's British credentials. blackcab
My advice would be to put your Thai nationality on the birth certificate. Doing this makes no difference to your child's claim to citizenship in the UK.
