Watch some YT videos, you may be able to survive too.

 

The cost is what the cost is, at least you know ahead of time, and can budget for it. If you can't afford it, and the plane ticket, and the insurance, and the visa fee, then maybe choose a more economical destination. Thailand will still be here when things normalize. The temples aren't going anywhere.

So there you are ---you have just printed another 100 Billion Baht, Could you walk me through the process of how you then put this money out there so it all devalues by 25%. It must of course go into something that has absolutely no value to help debase the Baht, because the government is in the process of spending Billions of Baht on different projects & even having to lend money (Chinese etc) to complete them. The Baht is not going down one iota because of that.

This is just a money making racket for some people, my friend just did her 14 days, 74,000 Baht ++ and any extras she needed like laundry and snacks, she wanted a room with a balcony so she could have a smoke, 

Imagine a couple spending that amount of money to start their holiday, not happening

Im in the same catagory here cant get back to see wife and its been 11 months now, our relationship is fine. The annoying factor is i work and work offshore so my limited time to go and see wife would involve going back to my home country as no where else will process the paperwork so what chance do i have when i only get 3 weeks vacation. There is no way the paperwork could be processed so i guess im resigned to staying out unitl Quarantine and stupid visa'a that for me are unobtainable due to time are stopped.

I don't think so, you could probably half those figures and be about right. There has been a lot of talk about Thailand making it difficult and expensive to come here, but there hasn't been much mention of the state of peoples finances.

 

Considering the vast majority of people who come here do so because it is a relatively cheap place to enjoy, doesn't that tell you a lot about their finances prior to COVID? Now that unemployment and household debt has been rising and rising throughout repeated lockdowns and job cuts, do you really think these two week millionaires and backpackers have the funds available to them anymore?

 

Next year is going to be the year of household recovery, people paying off credit cards and 2nd mortgages that got them through the pandemic. People busy finding jobs because their position or business evaporated during the crisis. Try again in 2022.

 

And then there's the fact that Thailand is going to be closed to mass tourism. Do these departments talk to each other, or do they only talk the magic mirror from whence their fantasies came?

Thailand will remain closed to the vast majority of foreign tourists until at least the second quarter of 2021.

These people are delusional. If they think for a second anyone will go on vacation and spend 14 days in quarantine they are out of their gords. Total wishful thinking.

 

It never ceases to amaze me how they make plan after plan that never makes any sense.

 

Admit it. The county is screwed until the pandemic ends. End of story. Let people in without quarantine and covid will spread like wildfire again. And I know they're not that stupid. Or at least I hope they aren't.

Anyway, while Thailand is leaking Covid cases at its borders, it might as well let in lots of farangs from covid infested islands so the media and DP Anutin will have someone to blame when another lockdown happens

The list goes on and on and on.................

 

So many places around the world are open to tourism with NO QUARANTINE.......just a requirement to have a negative PCR test result before travel.

 

Why would any sane person chose to pay for quarantine when you can go to nice places where you dont get locked up for 2 weeks.

People "stuck" in the UK are jumping on planes to the Caribbean, to the Canary Islands, to Greece and to loads of hot sunny places where there is NO QUARANTINE.

If they allowed quarantine in your own home where they can visit any time within a 14 day period to check you are still there and on own then they may get some returnees, but tourists - no way with 14 days in a prisonlike hotel

Asia might be cowering in the corner all locked down but the rest of the world is not.
