webfact
Chinese boss and Cambodian workers arrested over illegal production of medical gloves Crime suppression division police, food and drug administration and Lam Lukka officers raided a small three story factory on Lam Lukka Road in Pathum Thani, north of Bangkok armed with a search warrant on Saturday. They found millions of suspect plastic gloves designed for medical use. The factory was operating illegally and its owner was an illegal immigrant. He was 42 year old Chinese national Luk Foey. He was employing 11 Cambodian men and women - all illegals - who were caught packing the goods. Seven million gloves were taken into evidence and were to be checked for their standards. The raid comes as fears about the spread of Covid-19 have been heightened in Thailand after an outbreak in Samut Sakhon that has spread to dozens of other provinces. All the suspects were handed over to Thanyaburi police for immigration processing. A change of ownership of said gloves is about to take place then before they find their way on to the market place. 7

I wonder why they were handed over to Thanayburi polce when neither the immigration office nor Lam Luk Ka road are in Thanyaburi district.
vandeventer
I would have thought Chinese slave labor gloves would have been much cheaper.
