LED ADAPTER ?

First breakage of the year, didn't take long, the adapter for my LED aquarium light packed up,

i checked with another adapter for another light and it worked,so i know it's the adapter not

the lights.

So I have been on Aliexpress to find a new one,but not exactly the same, but close enough ???

would it work ??

Original adapter     input 100 - 240 V   2.4 A  50-60 Hz         output  12V  6A     65 Watt

New one                  input 100 - 240  V   ???     50-60 Hz         output  12V  6A   72 Watt

There is another one  output 12 V  5 A   55 Watt

Thanks for any help before I order the wrong one.

regards worgeordie

Should do the trick nicely.

I have an LED driver that blows reguarly on a Lamptan square light.

It's 24watt,would i compromise the system if i installed a much larger rated driver?

I mean would it help.

The output voltage is the "pressure" the wattage is the "capacity". Increasing the wattage/capacity without increasing the voltage/pressure will be fine.

Here are the details. What model do you have?

Sadly, probably cheaper and easier to buy a new one.

What's the spec. of the existing driver?

You have to be a bit careful because LEDs are not voltage driven, they are current driven. Over-current the device and it will go phut!

Getting a driver of similar spec. from a different source would be ok.
