Unless you are going to have warranty issues cut off the Schuko and put on a decent local 3-pin.

 

I like the Haco 3-pin as it lets the cord hang parallel to the wall (make sure your outlet has neutral at the top), they are a lot more robust than they look (I've never had one fail mechanically).

Not as immature as someone who gets zapped by a kitchen mixer, a laptop, AND an electric guitar, and is still trying to fix the problem.
