Following the call from the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) for all provinces to prepare space for field hospitals, many areas have also set aside locations for the quarantining of travelers from high risk provinces and for monitoring at-risk individuals.

A conference room at Sakae sub-district administrative organization in Buriram has been disinfected and prepared to hold people entering the province from high risk areas, in line with the CCSA declaration.

The province is allowing those unable to stay in quarantine to do so at home, mandating that they avoid any and all contact with others and remain in their domicile for a total 14 days. They are to be provided with necessities and health care, including daily temperature screenings and 24-hour monitoring by health volunteers.

Residents of the sub-district have said the quarantine has brought them peace-of-mind, after noting many people passing through the area without clear information and no attempts to avoid contact with others. They have urged such people to head to the administrative organization to receive care.

A similar space has been setup at Building 4 of Rajabhat Udon Thani University in Udon Thani province. The building has 280 rooms and is able to accommodate up to 980 people. Students of the university have not been allowed to enter the area since the start of the semester.

Udon Thani Governor Siam Sirimongkol said local quarantine facilities have been established in several appropriate locations after a review of their rooms, environs and distance from communities. He asked that those without urgent travel plans reschedule their visits to the province and for those who need to head to the province to report to authorities for care.

Going to chuck all the potentially infected in a conference room ? What could possibly go wrong ?

You can not make this up.  Pack them in like cordwood and let whatever virus or illness they may have fester and bloom.  Might as just well put everyone in their own personal bubble suit with a breathing apparatus and filtration system connected.  If they are so concerned about travelers moving from one province to another and then forcing them to quarantine why not just shut down the country for any interprovincial movement.
