If he calms down now it will only be out of self interest to try to act like he's reformed to avoid prison. Interesting, self-pardon to avoid jail, not self-pardon to stoke his crazy ego. But how will his followers see that? No doubt he and his followers will play it up to falsely to make it look good/make him look like a champion. Remember he still has 10 days to go, and he is still Commander in Chief and has had nuclear facilities in Iran in his sights, hope the Services Commanders can keep him in check I sense a "You just went too far" attitude, not just in the public but in gubment as well. After all, if Twitter gives you a lifetime ban, you must have done something pretty bad.

A poll has already shown that 45% of Republicans supported the attack on the Congress. So, no consensus yet.

How many 'republicans were polled? What was the educational mix of those polled? What was the age groups polled? Income of those polled? Residential locations of those polled? 2

And just as worrying is this: "In the hours after this week's riot, 147 Republicans in Congress still voted to reject Biden's victory, including eight senators". Must be something in the water, as the old saying goes.

Let me help. Whilst Trump the man definitely has personality issues, the fact remains that he is the most effective president since Ronald Reagan. To cite some reasons why this is true, prior to COVID: Unemployment at record lows. Dow at record highs. He hasn’t started any wars - the only President since Eisenhower to manage this. He has secured three Middle East peace deals. He has curbed illegal immigration. He brought many businesses back to the US. He pulled out of totally useless/expensive cons like WHO. He could see the writing on the wall with Iran and cancelled the treaty. He has appointed 3 Supremes and 300 federal judges. In short, he - in his words - accomplished more in 47 months than that sad, shuffling demented old time-server Sleepy Joe has ever achieved. “45” will go down in history as one of the very few post-war presidents to get America to grow a pair. 1 3 1

And the US is in such a great state isnt it, everyone happy. He will be remembered for lots of things, none of them good. US is in a worse state now than when he took over. Forgetting his dismal performance with respect to Covid? As for the rest... Are you familiar with the phrase "Post hoc ergo propter hoc"? It literally means "After this therefore because of this." It's a logical fallacy. Anybody who looks at GDP charts will see that the economy has been growing since about 2010. Nothing unusual in growth under Trump. As for stock prices...well when you slash corporate taxes that means corporatiosn have more dividends to disburse so stock prices go up. Plus corporations used a lot of their reserve cash to buy back stock. That also raises stock prices. By the way that practice used to be illegal because it was stock price manipulation. Not surprisingly, the Reagan administration legalized it. As the Covid epidemic shows, there's not all that much connection between the health of the economy and stock prices. He may have kept the U.S. out of wars, but he greatly increases support for the Saudi war in Yemen which has created what is judged to be the greatest humanitarian disaster of our times. As for the 3 middle east peace deals. These countries already were on good terms with Israel. It just wasn't official. Has he curbed illegal immigration? Now with Covid it's true that American isn't so attractive. But other than that? I don't know what you mean by "many businesses" but it's been a small number. Many many more have relocated to places like Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Mexico. Who a useless con? You have no idea of the wide range of vital functions it performs. As for seeing the writing on the wall...nice try. You invoke a projected future to justify a present action. In fact, the Iran agreement was working very well. Apart from these small points, I agree with everything you wrote. 6
