Picture: Ban Muang Hua Hin's massage ladies and bar owners have implored the governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan to let them reopen. Around 50 ladies from the traditional massage, bar, karaoke and fitness businesses held up placards and chanted near the Hua Hin municipal offices. Their signs said things like "Let us Open", "We're dying", "We're in trouble" and "We have debts". Their protest came after their businesses were ordered shut on January 4th as part of Covid-19 restrictions. Thai Rath TV showed the protest in a video posted on YouTube reporting that businesses would go under if not allowed to reopen. Picture: Ban Muang Ban Muang showed a representative group of the ladies presenting a letter to Hua Hin mayor Noppaporn Wuthikun to pass on to the governor of Prachuap, the province where Hua Hin resides. Thai Rath said it was not just Hua Hin that was suffering - such businesses were desperate in Phuket and Pattaya, to name but two.
