Well that,s a shock...reneging on a promise,especially where paying out is concerned....:whistling:

He should quit as Tourist Association Chief, shame to the industry he represents.

I looked up the case with Warmup Cafe, here a news article in Thai: https://www.matichon.co.th/social/news_2522771

They wrote on their Facebook page that they will pay 100k if somebody catches Covid there.

When the woman tried to claim the 100k from them she was told that this was only marketing and they don't really pay this out. TIT

Let's hope people stay away in future from dishonest business. New name coming soon.

🤣🇹🇭

Phallop said the promise to pay referred only to people infected from the 1G1 hotel across the border from Mai Sai, not locally acquired infections and those brought in from elsewhere in Thailand.

so, umm, he's like, uhh, the head of  the myanmar tourism association?

Actually can't see how Covid can survive in the increasing pollution, levels now already at AQI unhealthy.

Could be a selling point I guess. And if it is not the case can always say it only applied under certain conditions.

To sum it up - every statement that is not printed in The Royal Gazette should be ignored by the media to avoid confusion and false information of the population.

There do not appear to be any advertising standards laws in Thailand, if there were there would be no adverts for "whitening" potions. So they can advertise whatever they like and there is no come back if the claims are not met.

Cheers
