The hospital that the government banned from selling the vaccine was going to sell the moderna vaccine. Obviously they could get it, and fast. The charge of "knee jerk paranoia" is certainly one which can be levelled; but for anyone familiar ,with the venality and corruption of many in the "systems" which will control such distributions, such expectations make sense. Rolling out this vaccination programme, through both public and private health systems will be a major test of the integrity of the Thai health and governmental services. Anyone who's ever tried to import or sell food items here knows how strict the Thai FDA is. They are very good and take great care for what's available here. Problems can arise. Just look at the mess in the UK and the US. Congrats to Thailand so far. I'd much rather be here than just about any other place in the world. Other than perhaps New Zealand! Allowing private hospitals to import, allowing local administrations to conduct their own programs and, of course, anything else Anutin does to make life easier for him, will end up running out of control with poor management.
