The latest outbreak of COVID-19 is affecting many businesses, mostly due to the stringent measures imposed by the government. Among such businesses are hair salons, where customers can only be serviced for up to two hours, while being prohibited from waiting their turn inside the salon.

Yesterday, a Thai PBS reporters visited a few salons in Bangkok and Samut Prakan, to see how the anti-COVID-19 measures are affecting their businesses.

The owner of a hair salon in Samut Prakan, Siripoj Tumsiri (ศิริพจน์ ตุ่มศิริ), revealed that they have lost 80% of their income, due to the stringent measures imposed by the government. Although hair salons have not yet been asked to close, income has fallen, while rent and other expenses, averaging about one hundred thousand baht per month, must still be met.

Not sure about 100,000 per month with a drop off of 80% in customers?

Not using products would save money?

So you stand more chance of getting Covid, after 2 hrs. of being "serviced", more tosh by the tosh brigade, oh well guess they will have to put up with short time only then.

That figures, you go into the salon at 8am. and at 10am you havent got the virus yet...but suddenly at 10.01 the virus grabs you.!!!

The science applied here just boggles the mind. Salons, pet salons, gyms, massage, motorbike taxis, day care centers, and bars, are bad. Malls, government offices, supermarkets, drug stores, gardening centers, home improvement shops, car showrooms, and many others are fine.

Is it possible there is an agenda, and big business, with a powerful lobby, or super wealthy people with influence, are not included in the lockdown, but small mom and pop businesses, without influence, are?

Looks to me like if you have gazillions of cubic meters of space/person and commensurate air-handling systems, you can stay open.

Howzat for an agenda?
