PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - A court in Cambodia convened on Thursday for the treason trial of scores of opposition figures, one of a series of cases seen by activists as moves by the ruling party to sideline threats to its political monopoly.

Air quality unhealthy in 64 Bangkok areas and vicinity

Air pollution in 64 areas around Bangkok and its vicinity hit unsafe levels on Thursday morning, with PM2.5 readings coming in at 51 to 81 micrograms per cubic metre (μg/m3), the Pollution Control Department reported.

Condo, office, shopping mall markets contract while demand grows for rental factories, warehouses

Blind employees of massage shops affected by latest COVID-19 outbreak

Many Thai massage shops employ blind and visually impaired staff and such shops in Bangkok have been temporarily closed, by order of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on January 2nd, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Train passengers banned from leaving 5 provinces without permission

Train travellers from the five provinces under maximum Covid-19 restrictions – Samut Sakhon, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat – can no longer leave their province unless they show their trip is necessary. The move was in line with travel guidelines from the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), State Railway of Thailand (SRT) governor Nirut Maneepan said on Thursday.
