The head of Netflix Original Films has explained its "new movies every week" approach in 2021.

On Tuesday (January 12), the streaming service dropped its 2021 Film Preview, alongside the bombshell announcement that it will release at least one original film every week this year.

Providing viewers with 70 new original films in 2021, Netflix will release titles including the Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot effort, Red Notice; Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio's sci-fi caper, Don't Look Up; Anthony Mackie's Outside the Wire, and the Amanda Seyfried-led supernatural thriller, Things Heard and Seen.

Speaking recently, Netflix film chief Scott Stuber opened up about the decision to have such a busy 2021 film slate.
