Britain denies wanting to reduce workers' rights post-Brexit

Yeah he got 4.5 million votes and not one seat, while the snp got 50 seats from 5 million votes.

Now that is a valid beef!

But I look askance for the solution in UKIP'S manifesto. What are you doing about that?

The UK will need proportional representation if it is to have any chance at all of change and recovery from the delusional path it's set out on.

That would indeed involve a party like UKIP getting some seats in parliament. That is the nature of democracy. We have the AfD here in Germany (but even they're not so insane as to suggest Gerxit). It's great - then everyone gets the chance to see what wallies they are.

There never would have been Brexit with PR. There'd never even have been a majority for a referendum.

So come on, tell me now why PR is bad for UK - it works adequately most other places. At least governments then by necessity consist mostly of adults, and have to represent over 50% of the vote. Minority governments tend not to last under PR.

'Comrade'. You have not the slightest idea of my political inclinations.

Yes I am indeed first generation British European and I am really grateful to have been able to take advantage of it. I feel genuinely sorry for those who had neither the backbone or intelligence to do better for themselves than Brexit.

But I guess I'd have done well wherever I landed.

Just like some are losers wherever they go - or stay.

I just don't like the levels of exploitation in the UK. And I've seen it first hand within UK companies I've worked for here in the '4th Reich' ???? ???? ????  - except they can't get away with that garbage here and have to change their ways post-haste. Really, Brexit is not for people who write the kind of stuff you do. Honestly. You've been utterly had.

Here we have it folks ... he really thinks he has no masters. Thus we see the appeal of the Brexit philosophy to the ordinary Joan and Joe.

Your government restricted migration, ours didn,t,so the people voted out,how did the referendum to leave the eu go in germany?

Second, why have other EU countries (who now all enjoy the fantastic achievement of freedom of movement, unique in global history) not suffered the way the UK apparently does with freedom of movement.

That's a right and privilege the Brexiteers have taken away from an entire bloody generation in their ignorance and spite.

Nuff said.

" fantastic achievement of freedom of movement "? Suppose it is if you,re an employer as opposed to employee, " right (?) And privilige " the uk now has control of its borders,we,ve got enough of our  own indigenous ponces and dossers without being forced to take any more, the peop!e  ( who you describe as spitefull and ignorant) voted in a peoples vote,so you think democracy should have been denied them?

That would have been a clever move, ‘Remain’ wasn’t an issue at the time.

Hey but there’s hope, Johnson is in charge, Brexit is ‘sort of done’, nothing stopping the Old Etonian getting rid of zero hour contracts.

For once I would back the Greenies...the only party that would ban zero contracts....

Having read a couple of your posts, I think I may have garnered the slightest inkling of your political inclinations thank you.

Class war references to our 'masters' started a warning light flickering. Ardently pro-EU and Remain is often indicative too, if not conclusive, except in rare circumstances. But resorting to the old 'ficker than us is just a bit too much of a give away.

Come the revolution, you'd be singing the Red Flag with the rest of them.

I know dozens of ordinary people who took advantage of ‘freedom of movement’ to seek opportunities and improve their lives and the lives of their families. All where hard working and most were very well educated or with skills to sell.

The UK’s “indigenous dossers” will, be they idle welfare scroungers, subsidy addicted land owners or the idle tax dodger,  continue to do what they have always done, live off other people’s hard work, nothing whatsoever to do with the EU.

Rome wasn,t built in a day, "subsidy addicted landowners",are you referring to british farmers being paid not to milk their cows as they were getting payments from the eu not to?paradoxically a fraction of what the uk had payed in.idle tax dodgers, another asino quote so beloved by the champagne socialists.and as for your hard working friends who " ,took advantage" (they certainly did that through the uks tax and rent credit system) good luck to them,it just shouldn,t have been allowed to be at the expense of the british working man. "Indigenous dossers" heres a link of whom i was referring to............the jeremy kyle show.

Meanwhile the first Brexit dividend is an attack on worker’s rights.

Doff your cap Laddie!

I see you deleted your link to the ‘Jeremy Kylie show, but forgot your reference to the source of your understanding of your fellow countrymen.

Is that so? How come you know what will be the outcome of the overhaul, but nobody else does? It hasn't even been done yet, but your Remainer crystal ball is working as well as ever. Just like the clock that's set wrongly - it's never right.

Just deal with the bit about the first Brexit dividend being an attack on UK worker’s rights.

Read the title of the thread, "britain denies" however if you,re in possession of information that contradicts it perhaps you,d care to share it.

First of all, ‘Britain’ didn’t deny anything, a Tory Government spokesperson has denied a leaked report of Government of plans. This goes under the general heading of ‘well he would say that, wouldn’t he’.

I’m inclined to believe the leak.

Up to you

There’s a number of reasons people in Government leak Government plans, all of them provide insight into what the Government is planning to do.

I read the report, now where is your crystal ball that tells you the leak is not true?

If you read the report, why not supply a link,?a point you frequently raise.

Of course the UK want to roll back workers' rights. It's all part of the sovereignty narrative, bosses have the sovereign right to treat workers how they like.

It’s also in the ‘DNA*’ of the Tory party, they can’t resist any chance to stick it to the working class.

* Note to the pendants amongst us, ‘DNA’ in this context is not a literal use of the term, don’t go getting your undies all in a double helix over it.

So your crystal ball can print out reports for you can it?
