Popular Post richard_smith237 27,279
The manner in which ‘some’ Thai’s can so clumsily and publicly put both 'feet in it' while urinating all over the combined face of common sense and political correctness never ceases to amaze me. So ignorantly arrogant is the mentality of those who make such policies they fail to recognise the elephant in the room, which in this case is not just in the room but knocking one out... They completely fail to understand that foreigners are no more at risk of having Covid-19 in Thailand than Thai’s. Those foreigners who can not longer play at this course may well not do so in future. Perhaps they can afford to lose the business. 21 10

tonray 13,823
I don't golf but I know exactly where that course is as the first school I taught at was only about 2 Kilo away and I used to pass it a couple times a week being in the area, It's very nice and there was always a huge contingent of Japanese around that local area, there also are some big Japanese/Thai business ventures headquartered out that way which explains it I guess.

Popular Post Lacessit 23,332
Of course, the thought the caddies and ground staff go shopping in local dalats where everyone is cheek by jowl has not occurred to the boneheaded management. Hey guys, markets are where the virus originated, and where it spreads best. No problem, I'll just cross you off my list of golf courses I'd like to play in Thailand. 7 1

The "irony" of well placed sarcasm is that if done well it is often difficult to detect, so in effect don't complain when someone is "suckered in" Hahahaha 2

The stats definitely indicate the opposite. Someone in the UK, US is 1,100 times more likely to have it. And definitely more likely to ignore rules designed to limit the spread which is probably why they felt it necessary to introduce this temporary measure to protect the lives of their members. The score is on the board. Thais dying of Covid is a rare event. You can’t be too careful in a pandemic, especially with this new highly contagious mutant UK super strain variant that is now sweeping across the globe killing thousands. It isn’t a time for political correctness. It is a time for common sense and preventative measures. I am sure once the foreigners get covid under control they will be welcomed back with a wai and the famous Thai smile. 1 8 1
