snoop1130 12,665
PM: Thailand Won’t Be Vaccine Guinea Pig BANGKOK, Jan 18 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said that he would not let Thai people be a guinea pig for any COVID-19 vaccine that had not been completely tested for safety. The prime minister posted his message on his Facebook page, writing that he was aware of reports on the adverse impacts of some COVID-19 vaccines in some countries and the government was waiting for investigations into the real causes. The government would see if such impacts really resulted from a vaccine or from other factors such as chronic diseases, ages and health conditions. Well, considering that most of the infections in Thailand are Burmese migrant workers, if am sure they will be volunteering. Whether they like it or not. That being said it is a good result for me personally that other countries are rushing out their vaccines and it will be tested on millions of guinea people before I take mine. We are sitting in the box seat in Thailand. The situation is relatively under control in Thailand, so no need to rush it. Australia, in a similar situation, is playing a similar wait and see game. With only 70 deaths in Thailand for the whole year, the situation isn’t urgent, it makes sense to wait and see which is the safest and most effective. The hospitals and morgues are not overflowing like in other places. The first batch on the way is for health workers. Makes sense to vaccine them quickly. The others can wait a bit. Clever strategy. Reminds me of that old saying “No flies on the Thais” 1 1 1
mommysboy 4,569
Given the vaccine is currently being used in the UK, it's difficult to regard Thailand as lab rats. Moreover safety concerns are about another vaccine, and don't appear reasonable anyway.

Popular Post brommers 1,846
Nothing more than an attempt to cover up the slow and inadequate purchases of vaccines by that nice Mr Anutin who's building business is equally incompetent in constructing the new parliament complex! The people are watching and taking note of how pathetic this government is at delivery.
