Covid test is not really a big deal. It would be a good idea for everyone to be tested on a regular basis. Covid is everywhere.

What would the point be to test regularly? Do you also test for pregnancy/HIV/polio on a weekly basis? Maybe do it daily, early morning.

If you show signs you might be infected it can be useful, in most other cases its just a waste of resources.

Oh dear, seems a certain blogger and his rumour mill got it wrong again. Didn't stop mass hysteria on here though.

But he thinks about himself as the best informed person in the country...

On another note in the original document that caused the uproar Elephantiasis is listed as a disease that forbades entry into Thailand. While this is more common in tropical climates like Thailand it is not a human to human communicable disease. It's caught through mosquitoes and worms. Why would this be listed as something people cannot enter with? Just curious how they came up with this specific list.

In Thai it is written (๓) โรคเท้ำช้ำง

Ok.
How about Chiang Mai Immigration?
How about Pattaya Immigration?
How about Korat Immigration?
How about Khon Khan Immigration.
How about all the other offices in all the other districts out there?

The once constant with Thai Immigration?  There is no uniformity in the application of National Immigration Laws.

Why Not!

well, the test has a few flaws, it can test anything as beiing positive or not...And why test if you are not sick or have a cold??? More tests means only more positive and make fear in the Kingdom, that would not be good, would it. We see this in other countries to, more tesing and more covid, but not all real...

Chiang Mia, Pattaya, Korat, Khon Khen?

Errr- because as clearly stated in the title  this is about PHUKET Immigration, which is why it is in the PHUKET forum.

Nothing to do with elsewhere in the country, as pointed out in your second paragraph. Immigration across the country goes in a different part of the Forum.

Some of us are directly affected by what happens (or not) in PHUKET- pitching in with irrelevant comment is pointless.

That's fine as long as it is not seen as a pocket filler for certain people, ie the unelected PM and his crew, the hospitals.
