Popular Post webfact
No need for COVID-19 test to extend visa, says Phuket Immigration By Tanyaluk Sakoot COVID-19 tests are not required for ‘extending visas’, Phuket Immigration has confirmed. Photo: The Phuket News PHUKET: Phuket Immigration has confirmed that evidence of a COVID-19 test proving that a foreigner is not infected with the virus is not required in order to extend a permit-to-stay, a process often referred to as ‘extending visas’. Phuket Immigration Deputy Chief Col Nareuwat Putthawiro told The Phuket News that his office has not received any such order from the Immigration Bureau main office in Bangkok or from higher-ranking officers at the regional headquarters in Songkhla. “We do not require any medical documents for an application to renew a visa, because there are few foreigners’ movements outside Phuket. Most of them live and work in Phuket, and have done so before the new wave of COVID-19,” Col Nareuwat said. Dialemco
Covid test is not really a big deal. It would be a good idea for everyone to be tested on a regular basis. Covid is everywhere. 1 5

Maybe do it daily, early morning. If you show signs you might be infected it can be useful, in most other cases its just a waste of resources.

wasabi
On another note in the original document that caused the uproar Elephantiasis is listed as a disease that forbades entry into Thailand. While this is more common in tropical climates like Thailand it is not a human to human communicable disease. It's caught through mosquitoes and worms. Why would this be listed as something people cannot enter with? Just curious how they came up with this specific list. In Thai it is written (๓) โรคเท้ำช้ำง Edited January 19, 2021 by wasabi

More tests means only more positive and make fear in the Kingdom, that would not be good, would it. We see this in other countries to, more tesing and more covid, but not all real... Errr- because as clearly stated in the title this is about PHUKET Immigration, which is why it is in the PHUKET forum. Nothing to do with elsewhere in the country, as pointed out in your second paragraph. Immigration across the country goes in a different part of the Forum. Some of us are directly affected by what happens (or not) in PHUKET- pitching in with irrelevant comment is pointless.
