geovalin
The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) is preparing Preah Vihear’s Techo Sen Russey Trep Park for domestic and international tourism and expects to open within three years. The park is a protected area with forests, wildlife, ancient historical heritage and ancient smelting sites and is a location that can serve a number of functions in forestry, culture, history and tourism. RAC president Sok Touch said by preserving the environment and cultural heritage the park can improve the livelihoods of indigenous communities. “Those areas are covered in dense forests and are quiet. In the park there is an ancient iron ore site; we will preserve the area for archaeological excavation and preserve the culture of the tribe people called Kuoy,” Touch said. “We are striving to create local products to serve the needs of tourists and plan to build a tower so that tourists can see the canopy forest of about 10,000 hectares on Bek Chan mountain. We will seek investors from South Korea, Japan and China to build holiday homes for elderly people,” he added. The RAC will establish five research sites in the park for agriculture, environment, tourism and social experiments. read more https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50804751/conservation-and-tourism-plans-for-protected-park-in-preah-vihear/
