Popular Post webfact
Amazing Thailand: Patrons scatter as elephant shows up for BBQ dinner Picture: Sanook Sanook reported that diners at a roadside Moo Katha restaurant in Nakhon Nayok in central Thailand scattered after a wild elephant showed up for some pork barbecue. One customer at the restaurant in the Sarika area told the press that people started shouting: "Chang Chang Chang maa!" (an elephant's come) They did the only thing possible in such an emergency - got out their phone. They reckoned the pachyderm must have been attracted by the lovely smell of a BBQ dinner. The owner of the restaurant Jinwimol Mahasap played down the story saying that two wild elephants were frequent passersby - they even had nicknames. A male one was called "Sarika" and this one was called "Ngaa Diaw" - One Tusk. As soon as they see people they leave to go and get fruit behind the restaurant, she said. They are quite an attraction in the area and no trouble at all, she noted.
