Famous presenter targeted by FDA for false advertising of food supplement

A well known celebrity is being targeted by the Food and Drug Administration in Thailand for what they say is false advertising. 

 

Celeb Patcharasri Benjamas - also widely known as Kalamae - put out a video claiming that a food supplement would, among other benefits, tighten the face and improve the nose and eye areas.

 

This, it was claimed, made it such a wonderful product that surgery to improve your looks would be unnecessary.

 

Dr Suphatra Bunserm of the FDA said this was spurious and untrue advertising and called for the video that had been widely shared to be removed. 

 

The FDA appeared set to press ahead with prosecuting the presenter for making false claims about a product that carries the penalty of three years in jail and or a fine of 30,000 baht.

If she uses it and believes there are benefits then she is not falsely advertising but probably a big if .

I never get how they can equate say three years in hell with 30,000 baht......unless of course the 30,000 becomes suddenly unaccounted for?

My guess is that the FDA would find millions of wrong advertisements.  Check the sizes of the items on the advertisements (photo's) made by some (fast) food brands at their counters and what you really get in your plate or box. The items (and fillings) in your box are smaller or less than on the photo's or ???? your box is actually bigger than shown in the pictures.
