geovalin Posted January 20, 2021 Share Posted January 20, 2021 The Appeal Court yesterday denied bail for a man who was charged with “public insult and incitement to commit a felony” in connection with writing a Facebook post defaming the words of Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Minister of Agriculture Veng Sakhon. Presiding Judge Leang Samnath identified the man as Ny Nak, 41, living in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey district. Judge Samnath said that Nak was charged with two counts of “public insult and incitement to commit a felony” under Articles 307, 494 and 495 of the Criminal Code. If convicted he faces between six months and two years in prison with a fine of between $250 and $1,000.
