Given their willingness to embrace obvious lies and chicanery, there's nothing to wonder about at all. Trump actually launched an appeal for funds to support the legal campaign to overturn the election. Turns out only that part of a donation that was in excess of ,$8000 would be used for that purpose. And his supporters in this forum actually defended him!

It is about intentionally false statements. Calling Covid pandemic a hoax, saying voting machines were programmed to exclude votes, that  election officials dumped ballots etc. I recall the claims of the imagined secret cyber watermarking of ballots that would be exposed. How about when people like Alex Jones call Sandy Hook massacre of  children a hoax and when exposed say it is just an act for business? What about the false claims that President Obama was not a US national? No one takes responsibility/ ownership for their words. The example is Trump who incites violence and then says, not my fault and throws everyone away?

Still early stage of denial. Give them time to grief. They will come around very soon like the QAnon, Proud Boys and even Joe Exotic. Meanwhile on a happier note, majority of Americans contend with Joe Biden’s conduct and his choice of top administrators in just 2 days in office.

Actually, it looks like most Qanon members are not coming around. Can't link now but reports to that effect are easily searchable.

The way they are talking, you would think those 75 million Americans were all in the Capitol Building, rather than just a few nut cases.

It takes two to tango and doesn't look like you even want unity.  To start, how about getting GOP members in congress to say they are against white nationalists?  Trump supported them strongly, as you know.

Just watched a news program covering the most loyal GOP country in the nation.  Somewhere in Texas, where some 96% voted for Trump.

 

The interviews were very interesting with many saying they'll give Biden a chance.  That's 100% opposite of some of the ones here who still just try to bash the left, and bash Biden.  Sad times in the US.

I am afraid Sir that you got that upside down and quite the contrary. Trump basked in right-wing populism, positioned himself with incendiary political language, insulting and demeaning rhetoric. His mocking and insulting rhetoric was widely described as both norm breaking and divisive. His allies GOPs followed him with the insulting rhetoric and incendiary languages. Trump’s supporters answered his call for a “wild” demonstration which culminate with the violent and deadly attack on Capitol Hill.

Not true at all.  It was a very tiny minority of Trump supporters.  To say "Trump supporters did X" is talking about all Trump supporters generally.  If he said "a Tiny minority of Trump supports" or "the people that rioted at the Capitol Building, all Trump supporters..." it would have been fine.
