But here's the unfortunate reality that remains -- the U.S. remains filled with hordes of heavily armed right-wing extremist militia types, white nationalists, neo-Nazis etc etc., including sizable numbers of those folks with past U.S. military training. Q-Anon is just one part of a very dangerous dynamic that remains in place in the U.S. as a threat to its system of democracy. The fact that the Q-Anon lunacy didn't come to pass doesn't somehow mean all those other would-be insurrectionists have changed their stripes.
