About three years ago I got a late night phone call on the US number I maintain. Uh oh, family emergency? No, an old manager from a supermarket. I hadn't heard from him in forever. He simply said "Please give me a call, I'm trying to put a schedule together". Meaning he's got a schedule of floor staff to fill, and not enough staff. Meaning he's going down the list of past and present employees, trying to get ANYBODY. Hah! There's certainly work in America for anyone who wants it.

There are a huge chunk of more than 400 policy changes on immigration policies that Trump enacted. It will take time for Biden to reverse most of the more restrictive policies due to long bureaucratic processes or legal challenges from states or groups that oppose the policy shifts. Many policies overlap and will take time to peel them back one by one without overwhelming the immigration system. Any more confusion will only encourage more wave of migrants. Common sense actually.

What's wrong with admitting Trump did a smart move by having folks wait in Mexico for their hearing.

Nothing wrong if you think it is fair and humane in stranding 'folks' in dangerous Mexican border towns where they have no meaningful access to due process or legal representation; often living in unhygienic camps and shelters without adequate measures to prevent spread of covid-19.

They tried that in the uk,once an illeagal immigrant actually gets into a country a lot of them just disappear and go under the radar,which is going to cause all sorts of problems in administering the covid vaccine .there are over 1 million estimated illegal immigrants in the uk

Sure there is. The rise in unemployment is entirely unrelated to the huge economic hit the  US has suffered due to  the covid pandemic

Yeah.  It's a big problem.  Sad times in their countries.  Perhaps we can do something to help them now that Trump is gone.  Solve the problems there and they won't want to immigrate...or at least not as many.

Posting false information can and will get you suspended.   You have been warned.  

 

Anyone applying to enter the US can be excluded based on existing criminal records and it doesn't take much to get excluded.    Anyone who is in the US and is found to have entered and lied about their background can and, most likely will, get deported.  

You need look no further than Nazi collaborators who have been in the US for 60 or 70 years and have had their citizenship revoked and been deported.  

 

You might want to read about some of the Cambodian immigrant/refugees who got involved with gangs and got a quick ticket right back to Cambodia.  Then you might want to take a look at the MS-13 gang and what happens with them.
