snoop1130
Thai Army uses special task forces to disinfect schools in and around Bangkok The Thai army has deployed special task forces to clean and disinfect schools in Bangkok and its suburbs, before onsite classes resume on February 1st, according to the army’s assistant spokesperson, Captain Kunnanut Pornniputkul. Kunnanut said the task forces’ vehicles, equipped with chemical disinfectant sprayers, have been visiting schools since January 20th. She said the army is supporting the government in implementing the disease control measures, including setting up of isolation facilities and field hospitals on the army’s grounds, and health screening checkpoints along the border. Popular Post Petey11
Disinfect everything and one asymptomatic pupil returns and done for what? If schools have been closed for weeks little to no chance of any virus been left in enough quantity to infect. Think it's more for public confidence and saying "Look, we are doing something".
Popular Post richard_smith237
While it certainly can’t hurt, is this really necessary for schools which have been closed for a while? This seems to be the response instructed by someone who hasn’t really thought critically, is perhaps not that well educated (or not very intelligent) but wants to be seen to be doing something - again, no harm no foul, but it highlights a lack of understanding. These same solders would be better off utilised sanitising the BTS trains at the terminus station at the end of each run. Sanitising surfaces at the BTS stations themselves. Also sanitising taxis, busses etc.. The virus will not last weeks on any surface and disinfecting a surface only lasts as long as it takes for a kid (or adult) to reintroduce a virus to the surface (coughing, sneezing, touching) whereas public transport could be a hot-spot of surface to hand transmission. 5

Sadly, the higher echelon provides much corruption and abuse fodder for negative comments.

Bradmeister
Dictatorship vs. Democracy.... THE PM Scores in the superpoll center for research next week for mobilizing the army and not motivating the province governors. Mark my words.
