Police said the man had been dealing methamphetamine to foreigners and Thais in Pattaya for the last seven years.

i know my english is bad.......but does this say SEVEN SEVEN SEVEN years???????

probably ruined the lives of 100,000 people (including family members, etc.....).

death penalty, honestly.

and jokingly, i want to see his work permit

and serious again, everyone worries about every other place in the world and not even in their own backyard.

Hope this makes people get another perspective on drugs

Alcohol causes the most damage because it is the most accessible. In countries where cannabis is now easy to access, we see an increase in impairment related injury and death that coincided with decriminalization

Will you buy crystal meth when it s legal? Why do you think that once it s legal everyone is gonna take it?

maybe you go look at chart you post, ok?  Ease of access and lack of social checks is a determining factor. If adolescents can easily get yaba and there is no more social taboo, we will see very bad outcome.

Look at tobacco. Now that it is more difficult to access in some countries and it is socially unacceptable to blow smoke and smell of  ashtray, the cost to society of tobacco has steadily decreased over time as fewer people per capita start the vile habit. What we see now ios damage to smokers who started 20+ years ago.

And should we assume that the police just discovered that he is a dealer? Or did they have a reason to look the other way for the last 7 years? One way or the other the police didn't do their job.

Police also seized a number of assets belonging to the man including condominium units, motorcycles and a car, the total value of which was 10,690,000 baht.

I think his social status is about to change, unless the dealer can do a deal!

Was his EU arrest record checked before he was allowed in the Kingdom?

Of course not! If they did that, imagine how much time they would spend checking Nigerians! They don't even check Burmese, Lao or Cambodians! ????

OK, legalise ‘some’ drugs - Marijuana is a perfect example of something which should be legalised.

But, do you really want society running around on Crystal Meth ??? driving, riding motorcycles etc ?

And make some illegal, like alcohol.  Do we really want people driving whilst drunk?

Seriously???

Legalising something like crystal meth will simply make it more accessible = more people taking it, driving around on it.

Recognising that is simple common sense.
