Popular Post webfact
Overloaded truck video: That's illegal says provincial police chief! Picture: Sanook Sanook reported that Thai social media was abuzz with comment after a video showed a pickup piled high with vegetables lift off its front wheels at an intersection in Lomsak, Phetchabun in Thailand's north east. The poster made light of the danger and after a storm of criticism took down the Facebook post. Netizens mostly said it was not a laughing matter and was inappropriate and dangerous. Provincial police chief Maj-Gen Attasit Sutsanguan said he had seen the clip: "That's against the law - we will be summonsing the offender for sure", he said. The driver would be dealt with for overloading and probably also for dangerous driving. tifino
of course it only went over the legality line because the wheels actually lifted off... (it is a car not a motorbike)

If it is the junction I think there is a local manned police box 50 meters down one road, and a highway police station 100 meters down another. This is also not an unusual sight in that area as it's not far from a major fruit and vegetable market area.
CrunchWrapSupreme
They also put those skinny racing tires on them, which have no business carrying any kind of load. Few months ago an overloaded truck blew out the tires out on the highway, then all the traffic piled into him.
Popular Post Andy from Kent
Overall the load looks pretty good compared to so many I've seen on the roads in Thailand. I'd merely suggest the driver put counterweights on the front of his truck to lower the front wheels. ????
Popular Post Phuketshrew
Witnessed the same some years ago at the Nawarat bridge traffic lights in Chiang Mai with an overloaded Songtaew. Half a dozen people just jumped off the back to get the front wheels back on the ground then jumped back on again once the driver had got going with front wheels skipping along the road. Reminds me of this: 2

jaiyen
there is supposed to be a framework going over the front up to the edge of the bonnet, When this is loaded up it corrects the centre of gravity !

ikke1959
Normal on Phetkasem road to the south...Many drivers are even speeding driving slowly on the right lane, People know if you drive from Samut Songkram to Prachuap Kiri Kan..... At checkpoints the heavy loaded trucks are waiting in a long row till the check time is over and so nothing will ever improved

Burma Bill
Amazing, but not an uncommon sight. Lomsak and its surrounds grow many cabbages and these are transported by such overloaded trucks to the markets. Many can be seen on Route 12 especially heading east from Lomsak towards Khon Kaen and beyond. They can be a "pain in the neck" when slowly trying to climb the hills in the single road section through Nam Nao National Park!!
