Speedo1968
Don't forget the seeds are edible too, excellent nutritional value. Locally I bought a 2kg bag of seeds in local market for 20 baht.

I normally boil the jackfruit pieces and once the seeds are slightly soft to the touch remove them and place outside to dry, this may take 2 days depending on weather. The outer skin becomes hard and you just remove before eating. They taste a little bit like chestnuts. They are good as a snack or include in your breakfast, I am a vegan so have 6 - 8 pieces before the main part of my breakfast. The following link is good and gives a good warning about the latex content etc. ENJOYhttps://www.thespruceeats.com/preparing-and-cooking-jackfruit-3217061 1
