A Taiwanese man who police say is the source of the deadly so-called ‘k-powered milk’ drug’ has been arrested in Bangkok.

Police chief Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk on Monday announced the arrest of Chou Yi Shen, 38, at a condominium in Ratchathewi district, Thairath reported.

Police said that Chou confessed to mixing the ‘k-powered milk’ cocktail and a recipe for the drugs was found saved on his mobile phone.

Searches of other properties in the Huai Khawang, Wang Thong Lang and Klong Toey areas of Bangkok found more quantities of drugs and equipment that could be used in the production and sale  of illegal narcotics, police said.

Items seized by police included 4kg of ketamine, 376 ecstasy pills, 4kg of crystal methamphetamine,  8kg of heroin, 48 tabs of LSD, 11.6g of cocaine, a large quantity of sleeping pills, digital weighing scales, a mixing device, a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol and 8 bullets.

Chou also admitted to selling drugs online via the Dark Web to customers abroad and to Thais and foreigners in Thailand. Payment was made using Bitcoin.

Police said he had been staying in Thailand for eight years on a forged passport having fled Taiwan after being wanted for importing 280g of cocaine and 80g of marijuana from the United States.

Police said they had been hunting Chou for years but didn’t know his true identity. He was given the nickname Lupin Taiwan due  to the fact he had been able to avoid arrest.

Earlier this month, eleven people died after taking the ‘k-powdered milk’ drug cocktail.

I guess it doesn't matter what you believe. He confessed and they have some drugs confiscated. Haha.  He must be guilty

How can you say he is guilty?

You know nothing about the case ( same as me) yet you claim he is guilty.

You ever been locked in police cells here? Probably not.

Many, many people have confessed to crimes here, when they were in fact innocent.

I don't think that he screwed up as much as illicitly manufactured drugs can vary greatly in potency from batch to batch.

Drug dealers goals are not to kill their customers nor be generous with drug dosages, but it's their inability to control potency is what kills people.
