No Brexit bonfire for City of London, but it won't be a 'rule taker'

What is the use of Brexit if you end up a rule taker, legally bound to EU’s standards?

Previously, you had a say (and indeed a veto) in deciding

That was obvious from the start. When a country is doing around 50% of its trade with the same entity, it has to adopt de jure or de facto the same standards. Same as Mexico with the USA.

Says it all.

Not important.

And what Gove answers then is "not important" either?

What would you say if the UK ends up doing just what Gove is pointing out? Not important?

Britain being legally bound to the EU’s standards is "not important"?

Andrew Bailey has warned the European Union against mounting a raid on the City of London, saying the Bank of England will “resist very firmly” any moves by Brussels to force financial trading worth trillions of pounds to relocate following Brexit.

Amid growing speculation that EU officials could demand more financial business moves within its borders after leaving, Bailey said steps forcing the relocation of euro derivatives clearing away from the UK would represent a “serious escalation”.

Well you've learnt something today.

We all have our opinions, and some are lucky enough to be paid for expressing them.

But opinions are not facts.

One fact, of course, being that the different responses to the pandemic between the UK and EU are actually nothing to do with this topic!

Looks like a white flag to me....

Well done Vinny.

Somewhat hypocritical considering your earlier post;

A person too far right even for Farage and other UKIP MEPs who at the time, November 2018, all resigned from the party when then party leader Batten accepted him as a party member and appointed him as a special advisor. Despite UKIP's rules denying membership to those who have been part of extreme right-wing groups in the past.

Yaxley-Lennon founded the English Defence League, had been a member of the British National Party, and has had ties with the British Freedom Party. To be fair, though, his links to For Britain occurred in April and May 2019, after his UKIP failure.

What has that to do with the vaccine having nothing to do with being in the eu.

Don't worry about it, Sujo.

I've been offline for a couple of days, so my stalker has had to find something to amuse himself.

Another one who can't read or comprehend. There was no mention of the vaccine thread in the post I highlighted. Try again....
