PCX or similar personal insurance

How much does anyone pay for reasonable insurance cover, theft and accident, on a PCX or bike of similar size and value?

What company do you use?

Obviously other than the compulsory govt insurance.

Mine is due for it's first renewal at the end of Feb, last year the premium was 4,632 baht, is this reasonable ?

Theft cover was only 80k on a bike that cost 110k (hybrid), third party cover 500k person, 10 mill accident.

Seems reasonable. I paid 5,475 Baht for First Class insurance with MSIG for a brand new ADV150. Covers fire, theft, 3rd party injury, 3rd party property damage and own/passenger medical expenses. Excellent service (though not made a claim) from the brokers at AA Insurance - www.aainsure.net

Just received my renewal notice and the premium is 4,174 Baht but the sum insured is only 72k. The bike cost 110,000 and is one year old so a reduction in value of 35% seems a bit high.

In your first post you talked about 80k coverage, so it was lowered from 80 to 72k? It could be that the insurance company doesn't have the hybrid version in their system, thus your insurance is based on the 85k new price of the regular PCX 150.

Yes, I bought the bike when it was 5 weeks old with the insurance cover already in place by the original buyer so I didn't have a say in the terms.
