Officers from the Patong Police called the Patong Branch of Kusoldharm Foundation to join them at the scene, near the Phuket Provincial office of the Agricultural Land Reform Office (Alro) on Patak Rd, at 1:15pm after receiving a call from passer-by asking them to check out what he thought was a dead body beside the road. Popular Post CharlieH
So much for "secure the scene" by forensics, I count around 17 people truddging around that body. How many actually need to be there. Ridiculous.

Also "approved" officers investigating the scene should all wear protective "scenes of crime" suits to prevent contamination of the scene - especially in relation to DNA (hairs etc.) and clothing fibres. Popular Post tgw
I guess the plastic tape has been set to delimit the zone from within which people have a good view on the corpse and the best selfies can be taken.

Popular Post Old Croc
Forensic Police are there, the two ladies in the foreground and the balding guy taking notes or pictures on his phone, but it's hard to understand why so many medical people (Kusoldharm Foundation volunteers?) need to be standing over the body. Crime scene investigation here will never match western practices until human life is held as sacred as in those countries. One day they might learn secure the scene, keep everyone away while forensics do their work. Then let the other teams enter the area. I did say one day... just not which one.
