Daily News reported on a survey conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation into mask wearing in Bangkok.

A system utilising AI intelligence called AiMask along with CCTV can detect whether a person is wearing a mask and whether they are wearing it correctly.

If the person is not wearing a mask they are flagged as red, if they are wearing one but it is not over the nose or under the chin they rate yellow, but if they are wearing it correctly they are green.

A survery was carried out from 21st to 27th January.

Don Mueang district in the north of the capital was the only place collectively in the red with just under 90% non-usage or incorrect usage of masks.

Bangkapi was next worst.

But Phayathai in the downtown area saw more than 99% compliance.

Researchers found that mask wearing was better in the morning than evening and compliance slipped at weekends.

Are they getting ready for bigger and "better" things now ?

First it was CCTV, then biometrics for everyone, farangs included, when it isn't necessary at most airports around the world.

So what's next, no vaccination, no entry into airports and that means no getting on planes, just as a starter.

Here we go.
