Somchair
The hotel that I will performing my ALQ at is asking for the address I will be staying at after my quarantine is completed. Given that I am entering on a TR visa, I was wondering why they need to know this and whether it has an impact on anything? If I provide them with a post-quarantine hotel address in Bangkok, but I then decide that I want to go somewhere else instead then will it cause any problems? shy coconut
I very much doubt it will be a problem, but if you are going to go to all of the hassle and expense of coming to Thailand, surely you have some kind of pressing need and itinery, so don't understand a reluctance in providing onward travel plans. I wouldn't have thought that the hotel needs this information, maybe it's an immigration thing or a misunderstanding of an immigration/quarantine directive. ukrules
I heard that some places in the country recently had quarantine procedures for people traveling in from other areas. What I heard is that someone in ASQ in Pattaya traveled up north and was escorted by an official all the way to the final destination including the internal flight to ensure he didn't need to isolate on arrival. This was maybe 4 or 5 weeks ago and things are changing rapidly. He may have been on the Elite visa but I'm not sure.
Mai mee
Don't worry about it too much. Having recently completed the ASQ process, They only need it because your follow on address will be included in tour ASQ/ALQ certificate of completion. Nobody cares if you go there or not. I think it's just a holdover from all the years of visa applications where they ask you where you will be staying for your whole period of stay because, well, they can, but nobody is going to check if you do or don't. They won't check your booking, they just need an address because they need to fill in the blank in the form. They will accept whatever you tell them, and won't ask to see the booking . If it makes you more comfortable, make a cancellable booking on agoda and give them that address.
natway09
I thought the answer would be pretty obvious. Just give them your intended address, Immigration will need to know anyway
Farma
The address you provide is forwarded onto the covid monitoring team in the province/area you're headed to. Some provinces albeit less and less require additional quarantine measures once you arrive. You will be contacted at the address you provide if that's the case. Yes, this is what I heard, they have been taking steps to ensure that someone who has just come out of state quarantine is not required to further isolate if they travel into an area where additional isolation is required for other travelers from out of the province. Farma
@ukrules I personally experienced this along with a couple of others I knew from ASQ. I had 14 days home quarantine on arrival in my province following ASQ in Bangkok. Another friend in Chanat was also contacted on arrival. We are personal friends with the covid monitoring team lady responsible for my umphur and she confirmed this is what happens.

And just maybe after a few days of your departure someone in you 14 day lockdown site comes down with covid, it has happened a couple of times. They may want to contact you for a follow up test just to make sure. Jesus just give them the address and phone number.

It is just a formality to enter a Thai address on your Quarantine completion certificate issued by the hospital. I put the address of the next hotel I would probably stay in. When a doctor asked me to check the certificate the night before leaving the address was written completely wrong so I wrote it out correctly for her. But even the new edited certificate I received, though improved, was wrong. It just shows how bad the general english ability is even for healthcare professionals. But, anyway, I didnt stay at the hotel I gave them anyway so dont worry, it is just a formality.
Somchair
Thanks for all the tips! Reflecting a little on the inter-provincial travel... It sounds as though it's a good idea to stay put in the same province for some time after completing ASQ. Is there a reasonable period of time after completing ASQ that you're OK to travel into another province without the risk of additional quarantine measures etc.? 1 week? 1 month? It'll depend on Covid stats at the time.
