Deputy governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Phromphiriya Kijanuson led the way in celebrating the opening of a new estate to help people displaced by the new railway that will go from Nakhon Pathom to Hua Hin.

A cooperative was formed in November 2018 to help people from 19 communities who were formerly living on state railway land next to the new tracks.

Together with compensation money 70 people have purchased land in the Hin Lek Fai area at a value of nearly 28 million baht that has been carved up into plots to build new homes.

It will be called the Ban Mankhon Hin Lek Fai community.
