PeaceBlondie
Hi and welcome, WebTsarina, Good luck. Of course, you do realize you are required by Thai law to help the teacher get a WORK PERMIT from the Ministry of Labour, right?
bruceboy
Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
PeaceBlondie
Years ago, when I started in Thailand and had more money than common sense, I worked two years without a work permit. But now, I would not start a long term contract, full time, without full assurance of a WP, with active evidence they had submitted it within a week. But for a part time or temporary gig with an outfit you already know and trust, no more than say summer school, I would not expect a work permit. twschw
Do you offer health insurance? What about holidays, sick leave, personal days? Will you take care of the work permit and visa expenses and paperwork? You really need to be a bit more forthcoming with the information. You can't catch a fish with an empty hook. Hong Kong Phooey
^ Like he said. Also, what do you consider to be "a competitive salary" ? A ballpark figure would be a useful starting point, e.g. "in the region of ..." Otherwise this ad seems a waste of time for any serious teachers you may hoping to attract. PeaceBlondie
I would guess a teacher that well qualified would want 55K and benefits. But how well educated? How well experienced? I wonder if I still have the mobile number of Raphaela28...
