Samut Sakhon's Major Human Smuggler Arrested

 

 

BANGKOK, Feb 15 (TNA) - A Thai woman, 45, was arrested for sending illegal Myanmar migrants to the Central Shrimp Market of Samut Sakhon province, the epicenter of the new COVID-19 wave in the country.

 

Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk, commissioner of the Royal Thai Police Office, said Mrs Ratree Wechasuwan, aka Jay Phet, was arrested for allegedly running the biggest human-smuggling network supplying illegal Myanmar migrants to the market in Samut Sakhon.

 

The network was responsible for spreading COVID-19, the police chief said.

down to employers, who were fully aware of participating in crime.

In thailand there are 550 00 slaves, large part burmese, smuggled by gangs, like this one busted, to mafia-run fishing companies. Estimated 300 of them are murdered every year for demanding freedom or money for their work.

But this investigation won't uncover more, that one woman

Why they are happy to show this Woman with her facial wounds , I dont know.

Everybody and his Dog knows she will only be the " Fall Guy " for some Corrupt Blob sat in a Government Office somewhere.

They slipping, I would have at least expected them to find a foreign scapegoat. However: the door is still open to blaming the migrants for allowing themselves to be enrolled into the slave trade.
