Popular Post snoop1130
Quarantine hotel starts legal action after man posts negative review online - even though he found a cockroach in his food! A hotel in Chonburi has launched legal action after a man posted a negative review from his own Facebook profile. The Thai man had been staying at the hotel, which Thaivisa has chosen not to name, while undergoing mandatory quarantine after returning to Thailand from San Francisco last month. The man, who made the post on Feb 15, said he decided to stay at the state quarantine facility because it was free and while he didn’t expect much in the way of luxury, he regretted his decision to stay there. He described the stay as “probably the most terrible 14 days of my life” and said it wasn’t quarantine but more “like being imprisoned”. According to the man’s post on Facebook, the non existent Wi-Fi and broken TV sounded like the least of his complaints. The man alleged that there was fungus growing on his bed and a stench that simply would not go away, despite him changing rooms on three separate occasions. He said all the rooms he stayed in had problems with mosquitoes and cockroaches and he even had to pay out of his own pocket for spray to have them killed. He also said there were problems with the food and shared a photo of what appeared to be the leg of a cockroach he found in one of the meals. The man shared a total of 46 photos and videos in his Facebook post, documenting the disgusting conditions he said he had to endure during his 14 day quarantine. The post went viral and at the time of publishing had been shared 29,000 times. Lots of other people commenting on the post said they had experienced similar conditions while staying at the hotel. The hotel has since issued a statement saying it has begun legal action citing Thailand’s strict defamation laws. [The hotel] wants to notify all related agencies to stop any kind of actions that will defame [the hotel] and violate the law,” the statement said. “If not, we will need to take maximum legal action.” According to Thai media, the hotel has since announced it will be closed for the next three months. Whether the hotel’s owners will press ahead with their threats of legal action remains to be seen. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-02-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 3 14

Trip Advisor paid for the legal costs of the ‘other guy’ who recently made the headlines after leaving going on somewhat of a vendetta against a hotel in Koh Chang - the guy had to publicly apologise and TripAdvisor had to agree to remove their reviews but had the last laugh circumnavigating the agreement with a ‘Message from Trip Advisor’ on the hotels TripAdvisor Site... Popular Post asean
I think it’s time the Thai people sued the Thai government for criminal defamation when it is written into law that the Thai people are too stupid to compete with foreigners in most business and industry. See Thai labour act. 9
