That would be the one that was sitting at the airport for years, now probably going to be striped for metal ?

Could be turned into accommodation if one had money, time and patience.

On the ring road travelling west towards the airport they are assembling a 747 aircraft for some purpose. Anyone have any ideas or information? Tourist attraction, or I'm thinking a restaurant.

couple of updated pictures, the fuselage is complete, tail section added and wings mostly there. It looks as rough as a stucco bathtub and there's been no activity on site for a while

I saw that last month.  Looks like it hasn't been worked on for a while.

Update as I just saw this from my hotels window and walked over: This is going to be a café. Talked to one of the people who are currently doing the paintjob.

Coming along nicely after more than 2 years after I put up the OP, should be open around 2026 or so.

Very roomy inside when you remove all the seats

Only two persons working on it right now - so 2026 might be possible ????

There are a lot of old airplanes in Thailand that are converted to cafes, bars, clubs, restaurants. Currently travelling around in Thailand. Seen two in Bangkok (Na-Oh Bangkok, 747 Cafe), the already mentioned "Diamond Cafe" near Chiang Mai, "Coffee War" near Pattaya plus some random old airplanes with no use in the middle of nowhere
