I just don't see how the numbers support a split Republican Party winning in 2024. I do think that midterms normally will ensure the support of the party not currently occupying the WH. I recall that having support of President Trump was more or less a setup to eventual most all Republicans losing whom he supported. My one question is will he choose Lindell or Green or maybe Flynn? Oh yeah, for sure. They can barely win as a united party. They would not have won against any other candidate in 2016. My hunch is that Trump doesn't want to be the leader of some new party, he would rather remain a big beast within the GoP so that all future candidates have to at least go through the motions of honoring him. I wouldn't be surprised if he leveraged his hardcore supporters and his enduring media prominence into some sort of media play of his own, possibly filling the vacuum left by Fox and grabbing 20% of Twitter's audience too. That would give him a real powerbase within the party, and would be enough for him, emotionally. I don't believe he intends to run again. He will keep hinting that he might but he won't. Continuing to be a celebrity and media barron would be more satisfying. He might not have the money to set up an operation of the necessary scale and quality. He would get a big and loyal audience, sure, but the available advertisers would not have reliable enough budgets. A purely Internet-based operation would also be vulnerable to corporate censorship. That won't be attractive to Hannity or any other big talent.
