Pattaya: Foreigner "mercilessly" attacked with repeated kicks to the face in Walking Street

Guys never forget the saying "When one doesn't want to, two can't fight" period. 

 

Not trying to justify what what the motosai guy did, because that is beyond justifiable, and his actions prove that he is a total scumbag. 

 

BUT, even if you do come across a scumbag, who is sitting next to you, and you are polite and kind to him, very very rarely will you find that he stands up and kicks you. 

 

Knowing for a fact that the Chilean dude was drunk, you could only imagine how badly he was running his mouth. Drunk + Running your mouth + Being close to a scumbag thug = Trip to hospital. 

 

And given that he comes from Chile, which is a rather dangerous country you would think that he has already learned that lesson of behaving even while drunk. Not shifting the blame to him, but definitely worth behaving at all times.

Oh Jeez, his story is that he was systematically abused since childhood and doesn't know how to handle his emotions in a non violent way, especially when he drinks - which begins around lunchtime. He likely smacks his women and kids around too. He hates his life and now there isn't enough business to get by. On top of that, some spanish speaking, doe-eyed backpacking tourist is sitting next to him talking too freely and getting too chummy and trying to undercut the rate to drive to the next party, to the point where it isn't even worth getting up to start his bike. His last nerve snapped, so he gets up to smack the kid quiet and throws in a few kicks to the face to make himself feel better. He only feels bad about this in the morning, so he begins drinking a little earlier to offset the remorse.

Does it really matter what the guy said when he doesn't even defend himself and is crying at the police station?

I am suspicious of this whole thing. I think some gay stuff is involved. The Chilean guy strikes me as gay. Just a hunch. 

Ok.  So it sexually motivated hate crime against a gay.  That would get international media coverage in the West as well.

In Thairath from 25/02/21 they gave some more details. The WIN rider said the Chilean guy was drunk and kept pestering him to take him somewhere on his bike but there were communication problems. He told the foreigner to clear off but he kept on pestering him. He went on to say he has a short fuse and quick temper and just lost it. He accepts he did wrong and apologises for his inappropriate behaviour.
Police said they have charged the WIN rider with assault causing bodily harm and if the doctor's report reveals any serious injury they will add further charges. They will also present a gift basket to the injured party as a token of apology and to encourage further tourists.

There is ZERO evidence about that. It's coming from westerners that are PROJECTING their feeling that it's acceptable to beat up gay people that communicate sexual interest. That's all about  western member's homophobia and nothing about this incident or indeed the culture in Thailand. 

To add a young man that had it together to come to Thailand from Chile if he was gay would know that Walking Street and Soi Buakow are the exact WRONG places to look for gay action here.

Probably no warning given before he was slugged to the ground - the act of surprise. He was then kept on the ground by repeated kicks in the face.  You'd have got up and given the taxi rider a proper kicking no doubt?

Why didn't he fight back? I don't know. Look at him. He was unarmed. He's  got a small build. He was drunk, alone, in a foreign land far from home, and not speaking Thai or having much English. Hmm. Maybe he didn't want to be murdered? 

 

I guess I can speak from my own one experience of being violently attacked by a local transportation professional. I didn't fight back either. I was in shock from the hits. He was younger and stronger. I was wearing glasses. I'm not much of a fighter, and perhaps most of all I know how these things go here, it's usual from attacking Thai transport professionals to easily gather a mob of their allies with no regard for whether the victim deserves it. I'm going to assume that fighting back increases the chances of a mob forming.

So there we have it, the video for all to see and the heroic efforts of a Thai bully on full show attacking a skinny, young Chilean lad whose offense was to be drunk and to ask to go somewhere where the fat bully didn't want to go, or with his limited vocabulary he couldn't understand,  felt he was justified to launch a number of attacks against the young person.

 

From the video we can also gather that it was definitely ' on the cards ' in the fat bully's head to hit the young kid with a bottle and he seriously considered it.

 

We then have the odd homophobe on here saying the Chilean might of propositioned the motorbike driver or requested something illegal, of which absolutely zero evidence. I just hope that his injuries are limited to a bloody nose and a fat lip and nothing too serious or long term.

 

We also throughout this thread have had the poster, who CLAIMS he is a Thai national and says he deals with disturbed youngsters and prostitutes,posting on here attempting to justify such disgusting actions which cannot be justified.

 

He also wishes to convince us that he works in social care and welfare for young adults in Thailand but condones this kind of thuggery and senseless violence? What kind of a care worker are you?

 

Absolutely and thoroughly unprovoked and a disgrace. Anybody who condones this type of behaviour needs to climb back under the rock where they came from.

 

Yet another instance of the Thai male in all his glory and how they react to the slightest infraction when they have the upper hand. If a foreigner had done this to a Thai, we would have had the entire ' hang em high and deport him brigade ' out in force.

We read every day on TV about pedophile behaviour and the hang 'em brigade get all excited about that, having no qualms at suggesting the perp is castrated or worse.
