Motorcyclist drives into damaged drain in the middle of the road Picture: Daily News Daily News reported that Bangkok netizens were debating the quality of life in the Thai capital after an incident on Sri Nakharin outbound yesterday when a motorcyclist went into a drain. Lt-Col Yingyot Chalatpru of the Hua Mark police was called to an area near the Lamsalee intersection where a Honda Wave 125 had half disappeared down a hole. The drain cover, the responsibility of the BMA, had been damaged. Somneuk, aged about 35, was waiting for assistance. He only suffered a minor sprain thanks to being decently dressed and wearing a full face helmet. Yingyot said that the area of the accident is where construction for the Orange and Yellow lines converges. There is damage to the road surface and buses and large trucks had damaged the drain cover in the night. Picture: Daily News It had now been repaired with a new cover and some asphalt. The train construction companies were in contact with the motorcyclist regarding compensation. Somneuk said he had been riding in the early morning darkness and didn't see the trouble ahead. Meanwhile Bangkok netizens commented on the story mentioning the quality of life in the city as the huge construction projects in many areas continue.
