webfact 85638
Thailand reports 80 new COVID-19 infections REUTERS FILE PHOTO for reference only Thailand reported 80 new coronavirus cases on Monday. As has been consistent with cases during the new wave of infections in the country, most were discovered during testing of migrant workers at quarantine facilities and hospitals in Samut Sakhon. Of the new cases, 64 were local transmissions, while 16 were imported from people entering quarantine. 196 people were discharged from hospital having made a full recovery, which is significant as there are now less one thousand people being treated for COVID-19 in Thailand. 624 people remain in hospital or held in a migrant worker quarantine centre. Monday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 26,031, with 83 deaths. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-03-01 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

I believe this not to be the case. The wording suggests most positives are from quarantine facilities. Most are hospital presentations. Apart from this it would seem that Prathum Thani has the most positives reported from yesterday. Misinformation, poor journalism, a mistake who knows. There seems to be so much " Misinformation " and " Poor Journalism " and " Mistakes " over the reporting of the Covid situation in Thailand. Me ? I have my own thoughts on the subject

According to other news sources no cases were found in Samut Sakhon and 35 were found in Pathum Thani so this template reporting of what's going on is utter rubbish and fake news and cannot be trusted. It's blatant misreporting of the facts and utterly shameful. To think people suggest that this news source can be trusted goes to show how gullible some are. Edit: it seems this has already been commented on ah well better late than never. Edited March 1 by FarFlungFalang

I am deeply regretful. I said "Most are hospital presentations." This is wrong. ALL were hospital presentations. I was wrong I admit but not as wrong as this.... And have you noticed they have stopped saying how many are immigrants and how many are Thai in the last few days, pretty sure majority are now Thai locals
